SDJF Project Officer Wins Gold Medal in “Pic-Your-Value” photographic Competition 2018!

Mohamedu Aswer, Project Officer at Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum (SDJF) won a gold medal in the “Pic Your Value” photography competition, held in May 2018, conducted by The Asia Foundation (TAF) in partnership with Photographic Society of Sri Lanka.

The competition was based on six themes: Peace, Respect, Tolerance, Compassion, Honesty/Sincerity and Solidarity/Cooperation. It was opened for young people who seek inspiration in their own communities to reflect and capture what these values mean to them.

In the year 2016, he also won a special jury award at the “BIG PICTURE” photography training and competition conducted by Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum (SDJF), with support from Public Diplomacy Section of US Embassy of Sri Lanka.

Mohamedu Aswer received his medal and the gifts from the Photographic Society of Sri Lanka recently, for his submission under the above theme of Cooperation.
