A W Asjain Wahid

FINANCE & ADMIN MANAGER

Asjain Wahid is a graduate of South Eastern University, Oluvil, Sri Lanka with a second class honors’ degree in Bachelor of Administartion. He holds a Diploma in computerized accounting system (Quick Books). He has completed the final level of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) program. Prior to join SDJF he has worked as a Junior Accountant in SBM Sri Lanka. Asjan is working as a Finance and Admin officer if Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum since 2011.

His major role at SDJF is compiling and analyzing financial information, preparing financial statements including monthly and annual project accounts.

As finance officer at SDJF he has actively involved in; Radio drama for social Advocacy, Promote pluralist values through radio drama, Digital storytelling program(2013), Forum theatre program for reject violence and promote dialogues, CANDID Voices(2015/16), International Conference on media in transformation, National Youth Summit (2018), Investigate video journalism program, Media Sustainability Index 2017, Media empowerment for a democratic Sri Lanka (MEND) program(2018/19) and advocate online platform enabling youth to discuss social issues and to drive innovative solutions (ivoice.lk)
