Media and Gender Charter Sri Lanka

The Gender Charter for Sri Lanka Media (MGC) was the result of consultations held with a wide range of media practitioners, activists, trade unions, gender experts, academia, research organizations and civil society organizations in Sri Lanka on what they want to be included in the Charter. The Charter reflects many of their key points and aspirations on gender and media. The Charter covers aspects such as Gender Sensitive Reporting, Inclusivity and Equality, Media Institutions and Working Environment, Sexual Harassment in the Workplace and Implementation Mechanisms on Policies and Guidelines.
