Call for Media Trainers
The InSPIRE Project: The InSPIRE Project is a joint venture by the Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum (SDJF) and HELVETAS with the overall objective of contributing to the enhancement of democracy and human rights in Sri Lanka.
The project is funded by the European Union and seeks to empower a community of aspiring future media professionals and journalists through the development and implementation of specialised modules to improve the skills and knowledge of students in four state universities such as, the University of Peradeniya, the University of Jaffna, the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the South-Eastern University. About SDJF: The Sri Lanka Development Journalists Forum is a well-established national level non-profit and non-governmental organization having extensive experience in promoting the role of media in democratization and transformation since its inception in 2009. SDJF works closely with international media development agencies, local media organisations, universities, civil society organisations in addition to youth and women development movements engaged in promoting democracy and human rights in Sri Lanka.
Training: As part of the InSPIRE Project, students will participate in an inter-university competition and receive specialised training in a variety of categories in order to create high quality and responsible media products.
